Vedanta for the 21st Century!
Even though Vedanta is part of the ancient Hindu tradition, its philosophical principles are still relevant today and can lead us toward happiness, harmony, and, ultimately, the knowledge of who we really are.
Our Mission
Following the footsteps of extraordinary intellectuals, spiritual leaders, and visionaries like Adi guru Shankaracharya, Swami Vivekananda, and others, we strive to make Vedantic philosophy relevant to our time and promote Vedantic teachings in building a harmonious society that respects ALL with the simple principle of “live and let live.”
Our Programs
We are utilizing Vedantic philosophical concepts to address contemporary challenges in consciousness studies and social justice.
Consciousness Studies
Hindu philosophy, particularly Vedanta, is the oldest school of thought to study the nature of reality, the philosophy of mind, the Self, and human suffering. We strongly believe that Vedantic concepts can significantly contribute to these subjects, particularly consciousness studies. Even with so much progress in neuroscience and physics, there is little or no understanding of the fundamental nature of consciousness. Understanding the hard problem of consciousness remains an elusive goal for science. We are developing a theory of consciousness called the “Advaitic Theory of Consciousness (ATC),” based on the Vedantic concept of reality combined with contemporary knowledge of physics and neuroscience. Social Justice and Harmony
Our notion of Social Justice is inclusive of ALL and is guided by the Rig Vedic idea of a unified world with peace and harmony as the goal:
समानो मन्त्रः समितिः समानी समानं मनः सह चित्तमेषाम् । समानं मन्त्रमभि मन्त्रये वः समानेन वो हविषा जुहोमि ॥
samāno mantraḥ samitiḥ samānī samānam manaḥ saha cittam eṣām | samānam mantram abhi mantraye vaḥ samānena vo haviṣā juhomi ||
Common be the prayer of these (assembled worshipers), common be the acquisition, common the purpose, associated be the desire. I repeat for you a common prayer, I offer for you with a common oblation.
Sangatan Sukta (the last hymn of Rig Veda, the oldest book known to mankind)

Community Service
Philosophy or an idea has value only if it improves the lives of its followers and everybody around us. This is the underlying motivation for all our work on community engagement. Details on our community engagement activities can be found here.
